I had a tiny talk with Tyler Finck

My kind and talented friend Tyler Finck is a multi-faceted creative who likes to challenge himself often. Sometimes it’s making a song every week, other times it’s a daily photo project, this time it’s mini chats.

He already knows more about me than most but it was nice to answer some questions about reading, exploring places, and what my favorite hot or cold drink is. Self-indulgence aside, being challenged to think deeply about topics I sometimes take for granted filled me with gratitude for my fulfilled life.

If you can take one thing from the entire chat, please make it this:

Even if you’ve visited the city or country once or twice before and feel like you know a lot about it, search for a local guide to take you around. Rick Steves and Anthony Bourdain are right, it’s worth every penny.
