Introducing Bookshare.me

Have you ever shared a link to a song with someone only for them to say “I’m sorry, I use Apple Music let me search for it instead.” I’m that guy who uses Apple Music, so have grown accustomed to popping open Songlink before sharing a track with someone.

I have the same issue with books. With people dropping Goodreads, no longer shopping on Amazon, and getting their books from the library, I never really know what to send someone when I want to recommend a book. So I made a little website where you can paste many different kinds of URL or the ISBN of a book which dumps the links of places where you can find that book.

Try it out: The God of the Woods on Bookshare.

It works with many (but not all) book site URLs and pretty much every ISBN, and I’m pushing changes and fixes as frequently as I can to support more URLs and websites (Fable and StoryGraph are tricky right now).

If you have any suggestions or encounter any bugs while using Bookshare, please submit them on GitHub and I will do my upmost to fix it.

Thanks to my friend Ben Howdle for his invaluable help on some functionality.
